LPC Supervision

Congratulations on reaching this major milestone in your career. What an exciting adventure you are about to embark on and I would be honored to join you on your journey so you lean from my mistakes and avoid some of the aggravation.

I have been a counselor since 1994 and have worked in a variety of settings including maximum security prisons, county jails, with probation departments, in both state and private hospitals, in emergency rooms and have established several private practices. I feel I have been blessed to have a career that I love and want to share that experience with others.  In addition, I want to offer some insights that might help you avoid some of the mistakes I made along the way.

Finding a supervisor is an important decision and an investment in your career that will not only affect you now but in the future. You should feel comfortable with you supervisor as well as with their supervision style. They should identify your strengths, weaknesses, professional guidance, and help you grow as a professional and perhaps even as an individual.

I will assist you in developing your own style and approach that is unique to you and incorporates both your personality and core beliefs. I am committed to providing you with ongoing training, structure, constructive feedback and a safe environment in which you are free to develop your own style. I adhere to the highest ethical standards and go above and beyond for each and every individual. I am open, easy to work with and will respect you as a person as well as a professional. I will share information and resources that I have collected over the years. I provide support between supervision sessions by email, text and phone. In addition to clinical opportunities, I offer information on marketing and business development which will assist you in preparing for career opportunities. If you are interested in learning both the clinical and business aspects of counseling give me a call.

Sereneco accepts Students, Interns and Associates.  Interns and Associates are paid for their services while continuing to develop their clinical skills.  Supervision is a combination of  group and individual sessions. Group sessions focus on enhancing your skills through case presentations as well as additional training.  Individual supervision remains specific to your needs.  I limit the number of supervisees in order to maximize your direct hours and  opportunity for supervision.  If you are interested in learning more about working with me, expanding your clinical knowledge as well as learning about the business aspects of a private practice then give me a call.

I accept LCDC Interns, LPC Associates as well as Practicum Students.  If you area student seeking a practicum placement to obtain hours give me a call .  Supervision is free for all students.
